Population genetics and genome analysis

Short description of the working group:

This working group aims at advancing the development and application of biostatistical approaches to analyse (epi-) genetic data. To bring together researchers from different disciplines working with this kind of data, we organise the biennial workshop "Biometrical Aspects of Genome Analysis" in cooperation with the working group Human Genetics from the GMDS and the working group Genetic Epidemiology from the DGEpi. The aim of this workshop is two-fold. On the one hand, educational talks and tutorials are given to present state-of-the-art statistical methods/approaches and to demonstrate their practical application. On the other hand, participants can present their own research and discuss open questions related to their work.
